It's one of the steps and my boyfriend is having trouble with that step but really wants to get better.... any suggestions???the program he is in is telling him he has to believe in a higher power... please give me some feed back as to what I can do to help him get through this....

Why is alcohol rehab so expensive?
A LARGE of alcoholics are the ones that DON'T have money.... so if someone REALLY WANTS to get help and doesn't have the money, what do they do? I know AA is good trying to support each other , but it's all a bunch of alcoholics talking about the GOOD OL DAY... and then many people realize how much they miss it and go back to it.... It's just so unfair in my opinion. ANYONE should be able to get the help they need. Our healthcare system in general is so screwed up.

Hi. I have been drinking heavily for a few years and have detoxed several times both medically supervised and at home with diazepam . Now I am booked in to a 28 day program in Australia Vic Addiction Centre. cos I need that extra help.
